Who needs to eat when you can funk?!

Say hello to the JB's

This group was the supporting grout behind the infamous and most famous, James Brown, thus dubbed "The JB's". When they weren't backing up Mr. Brown the group still recorded and held quite a presence in the funk scene, lead by their Trombonist, Fred Wesley. They formed in 1970 after walking out on the overly tyrannical James Brown and played together for a solid five years after that. They eventually lost their momentum as the popularity of James Brown went downhill around 1976 and recorded their last single in that year, "Everybody Wanna Get Funky One More Time", a fitting name for the demise of this prolific group.
